Silent & Live Auctions

Dear Virginia Association of Fairs Members,

The Virginia Association of Fairs Annual Conference for 2024 will be held at The Williamsburg Lodge on January 2nd to the 5th. Volunteers from the Chesterfield County Fair will organize the Silent and Live Auction for the Youth Scholarship Fund.

We are asking that each Virginia Association of Fairs member and Associate member participate in providing items for both the silent and live auctions. Please bring unique “must have” so we can get multiple bidders vying for that special item. Auction items may be dropped off on Thursday, January 2nd between 4:00 PM and 9:00 PM in the Virginia Foyer, and again on Friday, January 3rd between 9:00 AM and 12 noon in the Virginia Foyer. Please remember to put your Fair’s name on your donated item. There will be sticky notes on the table should you forget to mark yours.

Bidding on Silent Auction items will begin at 8:00 AM on Saturday, January 6th. All bidding will close at 3:00 PM. Successful bidders may pay and pick up their treasures between 3:30 PM and 4:30 PM on Saturday.

The Live Auction will be held at the Gala immediately following the dinner on Saturday evening. Volunteers will be ready to accept your payments during the auction.
